Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to coordinate an organisation’s remuneration and benefits plans. It incorporates all functions associated with remuneration, including packaging, salary benchmarking, market rate reviews, bonuses and the legislative aspects of remuneration and employee benefits.
The unit applies to individuals responsible for overseeing an organisation’s remuneration process. It is also designed to meet the education requirements for Labour Hire Licensing and other regulator licencing requirements, such as CPE for registered BAS and Tax practitioners.
There are no formal requirements applicable to enrolling in the course. Applicants must; however, demonstrate they meet the requirements listed below:
- At least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment
- Access to a computer and internet connection
- Good language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN), noting an LLN assessment will be issued to applicants.
Assessments are structured to include a variety of styles to cater for the learning needs of a broad range of students and provide you with the best opportunity for success. They are completed using various methods and submitted via our online student portal.
Assessment methods may include any combination of the following:
- Multiple-choice questions
- Case Studies
- Examinations
- Written assessment tasks
- Practical Tasks / Reports / Discussion
- Workplace simulations.
Note: To complete this unit, students are required to identify and consult with stakeholders to develop remuneration and employee benefit strategies and plans. This involves engaging with other people in your workplace or network to conduct meetings and gather feedback on your planned remuneration strategies.
